Aloysius Cheang is a senior IT executive with extensive experience managing and delivering direct business values in strategic and complex multi-million-dollar IT programmes and business projects for Global 500 organisations.
He specialises in information security and has worked on a range of complex technologies and business problems.
Aloysius has managed large multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams across five continents and four time zones though a consensus driven approach while managing business, including regulatory concerns in a highly heterogeneous, fast-changing and demanding environment.
As an active community leader, Aloysius is influential in many IT community projects and groups around the world and has contributed significantly to International Standardisation efforts with ISO/IEC and ITU-T. In addition, he has built up an extensive network of senior government contacts, particularly in the Asia Pacific Region, and is a regularly invited to participate in meetings of major geo-political and economic organisations, including ASEAN (including Japan-ASEAN), CJK workshops and the China International Science & Technology Cooperation initiative.
Aloysius holds a BSc (Hons) and Masters in Computer Science and is currently reading his Doctorate in Business Administration. His professional certifications include CISA, CISSP and GCIH.
As the first Microsoft Security MVP in Asia since 2005, he has been honoured as a member of the Microsoft SEA MVP Hall of Fame.
