Biography

Bill Rogers is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, where he has been on the academic staff since 1978.

His early research interests were in the areas of programming language and compiler construction but more recently he has developed an interest in the programming and evaluation of human-computer interfaces (HCI) and the software architectures that support HCI programming. Mr Rogers teaches a range of computer science subjects, including architecture and most aspects of software development and he is also the local organiser of Global Game Jam, the world’s largest game creation event.

He holds a joint MSc in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Waikato.
