Dr Sivadon Chaisiri is Research Fellow at the University of Waikato's Cyber Security Lab. He completed his Ph.D. in computer engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2013 and has conducted research in telecommunications security, cyber security, smart grid and cloud computing in Singapore, Thailand and New Zealand. He previously worked for Sun Microsystems and as a university lecturer.
He is currently a Research Fellow for STRATUS (Security Technologies Returning Accountability, Trust and User-centric Services in the Cloud), a six-year, $12.2 million cyber security project, funded by New Zealand's Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. He is also the Principal Investigator for Parent-Centric Privacy Framework for a Safe Cyber Environment for Children, a research project funded by New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
